Teaching the process of making art for over 14 years to Evergreen and the surrounding mountain communities, Artful Journey offers children, teens and adults fine art, performing arts, photography and workshops year round in their vibrant classrooms and studio. All classes are set in supportive, lively, fun filled, non-competitive environments that allow students to explore their creativity while providing enough structure to ensure skill development. Mentorship programs, apprenticeships and exhibition programs are also in place to enhance a students journey through their course of learning at the school.

The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities is the Denver metro area's seventh largest cultural attraction, devoted to all aspects of the arts. It offers six main stage and two children's theater productions a year, music and dance programs, and a broad range of workshops and classes in the arts and humanities.

The Butterfly Pavilion and Insect Center, the nation's only stand-alone insect zoo, is a 16,000 square foot facility covering 5 acres. The 7,200 square foot conservatory houses a tropical forest, complete with a babbling brook and over 1,200 butterflies representing over 50 species from nine countries. The Insect Center offers visitors the chance to hold tarantulas and get up close and personal with scorpions, black widows, giant cockroaches, centipedes and giant African millipedes. In addition to the indoor attractions, which include a snack bar and gift shop, there is a half-mile nature trail that winds through the five-acre facility. The trail includes a visit to a butterfly garden and a cactus garden.

Abrakadoodle offers ARTrageous art classes and camps for children ages 2-12 years. Classes introduce children to a wide range of artists, both master and contemporary. Young artists will enjoy hands-on adventures with inspiring media and materials -- from painting, drawing, pastels, sculpting, printing, mixed media and more. Children leave class with their very own "Framedoodled" original. Summer camps, birthday parties, field trips, special events, after school, home school, scouting and release day programs are also available.
